BIOGRAPHY
While „What’s The Deal?!“, the celebrated, 2003 LP debut Polydor release by the London raised Singer-Songwriter Lennart A. Salomon was set in the scene as an orchestral Pop spectacle, by the end of that year the Hamburger by choice had reduced his band JEROBEAM down to a trio. In the place of the veritable orchestra, which brought to life the musical opulence of the first born creation, emerged the Miami born Berlin bassist Thomas Merkel and the Hamburger drum and percussion eminence Benny Greb. Already by the end of 2004, JEROBEAM released the second LP with the new cast and made it clear where the trip was going: consistently Salomon / Merkel / Greb deconstructed the many tongued structure of the predecessor and with „Confidential Breakfast“ delivered twelve Pop-Rudimentals, blown into the airwaves with the nonchalance of bell bottoms and the penetrating power of explosive gas. The JEROBEAM Longplayer „How One Becomes What One Is“ to be released in September 08 on Hazelwood proves tellingly that this cracking steadfast earthing of it’s own aesthetic coordinate system, however, was only an unheard pure stepping stone to something that is totally different. |
