EPIDEMICS
Epidemics were formed in the summer of 2007. We had all been in other punk bands before, doing things the way punk bands usually work these days: Extremely D.I.Y, cheap recordings and playing at all the squats around Europe. That's just great, but this time we decided that this band is the shit! We kept the attitude, the frustration, the angst (we couldn't have it any other way) and the love for the classics. We also added their way to work. Our debut album wasn't going to be just another punk rock record of the 00's, but one that we put our soul in! We recorded at Tonteknik recordnings n Umeå, with Inge Johansson (The international Noise Conspiracy) as our producer. We wanted to do it like the bands back in the day in order to create a classic ourselves. It's not retro sounding, though all those cool retro-influences are there. It's relevant here and now, just the way we planned. Here it is, Waking up the dead is out! Enjoy!

INGE JOHANSSON
Founding member and bass player of The (International) Noise Conspiracy since 1998, he have toured around the world for the last ten years and recorded 4 full length albums - 2 of them together with legendary producer Rick Rubin – plus numerous singles and live records. On his free time he tours by himself as a DJ, sharing the music he likes the best to anyone who wants to listen. He has toured as a DJ around Scandinavia, occasional DJ-gigs in the United States and he did a small DJ-tour last year in Germany together with long time friend Psycho-Jones. Get ready to hit the dance floor to the sound of Inges favorite 60ies garage, 77-punk, new wave and power pop-music!

NY VÅG
Ny Våg (translated to New Wave in English) is a record label and a club founded in 2004 in Umeå, Sweden. Inge Johansson and Dennis Lyxzén saw a whole new generation of retro punk and hardcore bands that needed a label and a stage to play. Since 2004 the club has been the hot spot in Umeå, and the record label has released over 20 releases up to this date – including such bands as The Epidemics, The Lost Patrol Band, Masshysteri, Tristess, Knugen Faller, The Bombettes and many more, which makes Ny Våg the most exciting punk label out there today!
